I've been in the central coast fro nearly a year, and am planning to stay for an uncertain amount of time more! The hospital makes it very easy to stay, and I have fallen in love with the lifestyle completely. The beachside wee towns are very pretty. Although sophisticated nightlife there is a little lacking, there is an enormous amount of socialising to be done there, and always people to do it with. One slightly odd thing is that the Aussie doctors are to a certain extent socially separate from the Poms.
I see hospital admin has had a bit of a bashing, but I've found them mostly very charming and accomodating, and the whole hospital system much less hierarchical than the UK, much less working hours, much more senior support
