My name is Jeremy. Ive been in Gosford for a year- most of my time has been spent in ED but I had a term of Psychiatry and a term of Cardiology, both specifically requested. Unless you request ICU you are pretty much guarenteed a term of what you want if you spend enough time out here.
Working is Gosford is really easy. Iain's company, travelling doctors, has been really useful in getting all the crap sorted out- things like what bank account to get, where to get your car, which internet server to set up in your home. The hardest thing, when you get out here, is to find accomodation- the hospital lodgings are horrible and surprisingly cold. At the risk of sounding like an advert, travelling doctors is brilliant at helping with all that annoying stuff and can sort much of it out while you are still in the UK, so you can arrive here sorted. If you are coming to Gosford, get in touch with them ASAP, its a young company and is doing a brilliant job but needs your custom and will make your first month here much easier.
