Hi everyone,

I am an Irish trained doctor (just finishing out my Intern year now) and I am travelling to Australia this July, to work for about 6 months, and travel for 5 or six months.

I have been offered two jobs in Perth, one in St John of God Subiaco (Private Hosp) doing 3 months Plastics RMO, and 3 months of Medicine of some sort!
The other job is in the Royal Perth, 6 months as RMO in the Acute Assessment Unit.

I eventually want to do Dermatology, which will entail a 2 year Medical Scheme here in Ireland.
So the 6 months AAU would be beneficial for that, but the 3 months plastics would dovetail pretty nicely with Derm.

Just wondering does anyone have any advice re working in Public vs Private Hospitals in Oz or about either of these hospitals in general? I have to accept the jobs in next couple of days so would appreciate any advice I can get!
