Hi,

If you are looking at buying houses over in Australia, the government has recently increased (actually tripled it!) the First Home Buyers Grant which is available with certain conditions to first home buyers. The increase stays in effect until June 2009 so investigate this option if you think you may buy a house and hold onto it for a year (this is a condition in some if not all states) and may buy before June 2009.
