If you surf or if you would like to learn to surf then Terrigal is definitely the place to be. There are two patrolled areas and lots of open space if you prefer it a little quieter. The variation of waves at different points on the beach caters from the novice to the pro.

There is a great Social Touch Rugby scene in Terrigal. Open to any and all you want to come along for the laugh. No experience is required however be preared to "put in the yards." More details are contianed within the section.
