What if the carton is too heavy? How will I know? E-mail

If the T-Chest carton is packed using a mixture of clothes, shoes with the occasional book or album, the cartons should not exceed the maximum weight. The average weight in such circumstances is 30 - 35kg. When packing a T-Chest carton please avoid heavy items such as books, photo albums, CD's or DVD's. These will quickly accumulate the weight, instead, use a Book Box when packing these items, it has the same maximum weight and is just as strong as a T-Chest carton.

Should a carton exceed the maximum weight, the collection driver will provide you with a Book Box and ask that you transfer items out of the offending carton into the Book Box while he is loading the remainder of your cartons.

If all or the majority of your cartons are too heavy and require repacking then, depending on the time taken to repack each carton, the driver may have no choice but move onto his next scheduled job. In these circumstances you will have to arrange another day for the collection and unfortunately there will be Additional Delivery, Collection or Redelivery Charges.
